Cryptocurrencies are not controlled by government authorities.
A practical guide to digital assets: from how they work and network fees to deposits and wallet setup.
Cryptocurrency is a digital equivalent of currency used in exchange operations: an encrypted, unregulated digital asset. Payments exist solely as digital records in an online database describing specific transactions.
Cryptocurrency remains highly relevant because one of its core ideas is to offer an alternative to traditional money. Fast processing, no intermediaries and low transfer fees make digital assets convenient to use.
Cryptocurrencies are not controlled by government authorities.
A transfer does not require the wallet owner's personal data.
Transactions are processed without a central authority, and the fee can be selected.
Cryptocurrency transactions do not transmit the user's personal data.
The recipient's location does not affect processing, even for international transactions.
Transactions can be tracked on the blockchain. Bitcoin transactions can be checked at blockchain.com.
The cryptocurrency market retains growth potential and attracts new participants.
There are many simple ways to buy and sell Bitcoin and other coins. Cryptocurrency can be bought and sold through dedicated services: crypto exchangers and exchanges.
On an exchange, you can fund your balance with traditional currency via electronic payment systems, bank cards, ATMs or bank transfer, and then buy digital assets. The typical fee is 2–5% of the transaction amount.
You can open an account at: KuCoin, Binance or Blockchain.
The wallet calculates an optimal miner fee in real time. The rate depends on market demand and network capacity.
You can set the fee yourself: the higher it is, the faster the transaction is processed.
Speed depends on the fee and blockchain network load. For BTC, ETH, USDt, LTC, ADA and XRP, processing takes from 10 minutes to several hours.
USDT on ERC-20 and TRC-20 is usually processed the fastest.
Use etherscan.io or tronscan.org. For USDT, select the ERC20 Token Txns or TRC20 Token Txns filter.
| Network | Confirmations | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Tether USD (USDT) ERC20 | 20 | ~5 minutes |
| Tether USD (USDT) TRC20 | 20 | ~2 minutes |
Select the universal ISO currency and one of the supported networks.
This generic label keeps the focus on the sequence of actions rather than a specific asset.
Example: ISO on a supported network
For a successful deposit, make sure the address and selected network are correct.
In the cashier, open Withdraw and select the ISO payment method and the appropriate network.
Enter the wallet address and desired amount in ISO, taking the transaction limits into account. Check the address and network again before confirming.
Withdrawals use an optimal network fee so the funds arrive as quickly as possible.
Make sure the cryptocurrency wallet address for the withdrawal is correct.
Binance has its own currency exchange. To buy ISO with a bank card or fund a fiat balance, open Buy Crypto → P2P Trading and select the exchange direction.
This option is convenient because fees are minimal. You can check the limits and available payment methods in the offer beforehand.
Detailed instructions are available on the official Binance website.
